I and the Village

Hi All,

This painting, I and the Village, by the artist Marc Chagall is my favorite work of art!  What do you see when you look at this work of art?  What in particular stands out to you?  Look closer... what else do you see?

A little about the artist:

Marc Chagall (1887-1985) is a Russian-French artist of Jewish descent who faced persecution by the Nazis during World War II.  He was a successful painter, illustrator, and stained glass artist.  He produced ceramics, stage sets, as well as tapestries and fine art prints - who is one of your favorite artists?
